Joana's horde leveling Guide might be one of the most popular wow speed leveling guides out there but truth be told it has seen better days. Why do I say that? Because the guide is inherently flawed.

The Joana's horde leveling guide is written from the assumption that a player wishes to play as either an Orc or a Troll Hunter. I don\'t know about you but this is a pretty narrow vision for a wow speed leveling guide. Sure it claims to be applicable for every class and race but have you ever tried to test that claim?

Why the Joana's Horde Leveling Guide is Outdated

Let’s suppose we wanted to play the as an undead mage. I picked that one because if you ever wanted to follow along with this guide as a blood elf, well it gets worse. So, in order to follow this guide you would have to run all the way over to Brill wait for a Zeppelin to fly you across to the other side of the world and then you would have to run all the way south to Durotar. This whole journey for a low level character could take 30-60 minutes to do.

To prove my point have a friend of yours start at the same time but have him/her play either the Orc or Troll Hunter as recommended by the guide. I assure you by the time your undead mage gets over to the Orc starting zone your friend will most likely be level 5 or above. A huge advantage. This why most choose to play the through their initial starting zone quests themselves and pickup where the guide joins in the barrens around level 15 or so but doesn\'t that defeat the purpose of having a gaming leveling guide?

The second reason why Joana's horde leveling guide is outdated is simply because it is no longer efficient. Most of the questing information is old and thanks to changes in mod development there are better ways to level your characters these days.

Why anyone would you want to use an older outdated leveling guide is beyond me. The answer is simple start playing the game efficiency. Thanks to developments from mod designers this is now possible. By using an in-game wow speed leveling guide you gain all the benefits from using gaming guide like the Joana's horde leveling guide but without it\'s inherent issues.

I tested the difference between using an in-game leveling guide vs the time it took to level my characters to 70 using the older Joana's horde leveling guide and the difference was astonishing. I cut almost a full 2 days off my leveling speed runs, now that’s significant.

I have a confession to make. As a World of Warcraft player, sometimes it can be seen as a sign of weakness to get outside help. That is why I am a little embarrassed to say that I picked up Joanas Horde Leveling Guide. I had heard good things about this guide with many people saying it was the most complete horde leveling guide around. I doubted their claims, but finally found myself checking it out more and more. Temptation overwhelmed me and I gave in. So what did I think of Joanas Horde Leveling Guide? Is it the complete horde leveling guide that everyone says it is?

Joanas Horde Leveling Guide was written by Joana or Mancow as others know him. He has set records on multiple servers for being the fastest to reach level 60. After checking out his horde leveling guide, I know why. Not only does the guide go indepth with how to power level a horde character, Joana also provides video support of his journey. I was able to watch him go from 0-60 as if I was looking over his shoulder while he was playing. The video quality is very good. Having the videos alone would justify picking up Joanas Horde Leveling Guide, but I kept finding more and more good stuff inside. Joana broke down the quest for each horde race. Someone starting as an Orc, like myself, would get just as much use out of the guide as someone that wanted to start as an Undead or Tauren.
