I Need Some World Of Warcraft Advice, Any Veterans That Can Help?

I've just started playing WoW and was wondering about a few things:
-Should I just get the original game and 'complete' that, or the expansion packs as well?
-Out of your experience, what are the best classes? (the most fun and most effective)
-How much is it for a UK account per month? (the buy online drugs WoW site is very unclear on a a lot of things)
-What kind of realms (PVP, RP etc.) are the best for playing on (in your opinion)?
