No. It’s an expansion, and thus the original game is required.
BC is also required because you can’t even use any features from WotLK without finishing up BC. (You have to be 70 to go there, and the base game only lets you get to 60.)
Short answer: you need both.

You can only wear cloth, but you can try doing different things with a warlock so you dont get killed as much
Whenever you kill a creature, stand as far back as you can, since your a caster. Doing this, you should throw your DoTS up (dmg over tiem, corruption, curse of agony etc etc) then you’ll be able to shoot this creature with two shadow bolts, and then start casting a wand at him (found in your auction house of your major cities).

The people who visit the Yahoo! boards are so random you probably won’t find anyone here that fits your needs. Also, you forgot to ask if the gold/items need to be alliance/horde.
I would recommend going to the WoW forums and select your realm, in this case Dragonblight. You’ll find more people there who are better connected to your server.
