Yes i guess to some degree typing in the comment box was going out of my way. But as my intention was not to insult you I cant have been going out of my way to do a thing i didnt mean to do. For example if some one mails you a bill and reading that letter causes you to miss your train. Did they go out of there way to make you miss your train?
If you think what you originally wrote wasn’t meant to be insulting, then you seriously need to do some investigation into what is considered rude. I suggest getting out of the house and paying attention to the social interactions of others around you, preferably others who are not themselves social pariahs.

I’m using both. I expect to do so for sometime, until Buzz either becomes fully “workable” or drives me crazy because of the duplication and noise that causes me to only stay for a half-hour or so at a stretch. I don't know if it's the same for all branches, but my husband had to shower infront of men all the time at USMC bootcamp. And he went in just as leary about being naked infront of other guys as you seem to be. (He has a really funny "personal" attribute and was afraid of someone noticing it.) But he got through and no one said -a thing- to him about it. You have such little time to get in and out "5 mins to shit shower and shave" as hubby put it, that you don't have time to be gawking at other guys. As for nude inspections, he said the only time he ever heard of it happening was when a guy went to medical during boot, and it wasn't public. The only time anyone ever made a joke or had a laugh about the nudity was like the first week there they all had to pull there pants around their butts to get a shot. Ha.
Okay, and as for the "hard ons". My husband said that the drill instructors told them all that a LONG time ago the military used to put stuff in the food at basic to kill the libido/prevent erections, but that supposedly they don't do it anymore. He had a laugh at it though and said he wouldn't be suprised if they still do because he doesn't ONCE recall anyone getting wood, even in the morning. He said infact he could lay in his rack before he fell asleep and think "I wanna go home, wanna get some, wanna see the little woman…" and there would be absolutely nothing. Like, it was impossible. Ha. The only thing he ever mentioned was that one day this guy beside him screwed up making up his rack and he went over to help the guy fix it, and some socks and some lotion fell out of the guy's pillowcase and they all teased the guy about it. But that's it!
